Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Characters Who Would Have Sat at My Lunch Table in High School

02 September 2014

It's Tuesday and it's time for..... TOP TEN TUESDAY hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! So far, this is my second TTT list ever since I've started blogging, so take it easy on me.

So today's list would be the "Top Ten Characters who would have sat at my lunch table in High School".

Okay, so I wasn't exactly one of the popular kids back in high school, since I've made transfers from different schools twice. But I sure had a lot of friends then, and we're all weird... and cool.

But since I haven't read a lot of YA books to begin with, most of the characters on my list might not even be teens anymore. Well, we can pretend it's College. (Yep, I still sat on lunch tables in college. Where would you expect me to eat?)

1. Stevie Rae from the House of Night series by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast.
She's not only the leader of the Red Vampyres and fledglings, but she's also an adorable character to begin with. She's adorable, talkative, quirky and a southern belle at heart. I reckon we'd be friends the moment our eyes would meet. She'd be the cute and bubbly blonde friend.

2. Tiny from Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan.
He'd be the super gay friend and the most hilarious guy ever in the group, just like the guy from Mean Girls. I've always loved being friends with members of the LGBT because they're true to themselves and honest and would definitely make your life brighter. We'd be talking about our crushes from the other table like 24/7. Hah!

3. Gale Hawthorne from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Gale would definitely be the big brother of the group. He'd be the guy who teases the heck out of you, and sometimes annoys you, but he'll surely beat the heck out of the bullies that would come for you. I've always wanted a big brother (Well, I'm the eldest of my siblings), so I've had a lot of older guy friends, and Gale was definitely a character I wanted as my fictional older brother.

4. Blayne Thorpe from Beast Behaving Badly by Shelly Laurenston
Blayne is just the most adorable and hyper creature ever. Let's pretend my High school included shifters, because I'd totally want to be this girl's best friend. She's fun and lively and the half wild dog/human version of My Little Pony's Pinkie Pie. (Okay, Pinkie Pie can get kind of annoying, but Blayne is just plainly adorable)

5. Jenna Riley from Taking a Shot by Jaci Burton
Jenna's my gorgeous artistic punk. She may be covered in tattoos and piercings but she's definitely an artist at heart. I'm an aspiring writer and artist, and I'd love to be friends with someone who I can relate to about my passion. And I have a thing for tattoos too.

6. Angelina Santiago from Here Kitty, Kitty! by Shelly Laurenston
Okay, I almost missed out on the most important character. The girlfriend friend. Angelina is basically the key to my girly girl heart, even though it's not obvious. I need someone like her to talk about my crushes and my non-existent love life. And just eat yogurt and go shopping with her. Not only would she be the best bff ever, she's also badass and definitely won't back down from a cat fight.

7. Faith NightStar from Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh
I have an absolute thing for redheads and Faith is one. She's would be the quiet character, the girl who won't talk unless spoken too, but at the same time, you won't be able to ignore her because she's just too adorable for that! And the fact that she can see the future through visions is a plus too!

8.  Sam Turner from Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Who wouldn't want Emma Watson at their lunch table?! Hah! But kidding aside, I love how carefree Sam is, she's the laid back friend and definitely one of those who'd bring laughs to the table. But not only is she the friend who likes to laugh things up, I'm pretty sure she's the kind of friend you can easily run to when you've got problems. She'll surely give great advice.

 9. Lindsey Lee Wells from An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
Lindsey's fierce and sassy personality would definitely make my bff list. She's a very interesting character, and somehow reminds me of myself. I'd definitely be calling her 'Twin', if we were bffs.

And last but not the least!

10. Poppy Wyatt from I've Got Your Number! by Sophie Kinsella
Poppy is just funny and adorable. She'd be the character who accidentally gets into tons of mishaps and would be the source of fun stories for the group, where she'd share that she accidentally took the coffee that was meant for the old lady in front of her, or her twenty dollar bill flew out the bus window.

Wow, that was seriously hard to get to ten. Gosh. If you haven't read any of these books, I'd recommend them. Check them out, if you've got the time. ;)

  1. SAM! I thought about officially adding her, but there were way too many possibilities for me this week. I should have done a top twenty. Oh well. She and Patrick are probably at my table by default because Charlie is there. :)

    1. I even forgot about Patrick, he's the best one yet. But then again, like you said, he'd be there by default because of Sam! Haha!
