It's April now, and I'm just waiting on friends who would attempt to prank me with whatever ludicrious scenario possible. Well, ever since my best friend had pranked me with a pregnancy scare over the phone five years ago -- and I stupidly bought it, as I was unaware it was April Fools' Day -- I have now learned my lesson. ANYTHING SAID ON APRIL FOOLS' SHOULD NOT BE BELIEVED. Now, my best friend thinks she's slick, but I've now learned how to call her bluff. My, do I feel so proud.
Okay, back to the reason why this post is made. March. March. March. Tons of crazy stuff. I have now reached the one year mark of my college graduation-aversary... I... uhhh... know that's not a word. Sooo, moving on. Oh, how time flies. Another crazy thing is the heat here in the Philippines. 86 degrees, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! It makes me not want to leave home at all. The heat is scorching and all I want to do is take showers with cool water and never leave the bathroom. Ever.
Aaaaaaand, moving on!
So, I thought March was going to be an active month for me. I was so productive the first half of the month. I mean, I had posts up almost every day!!! Then what happened? After the 15th of the month or so, I shut down. I fell into a review slump. Ugh. And as a book blogger, I feel like the worst thing that can happen to you -- other than lose a laptop or an internet connection or an e-reader or whatever -- is to feel unable to write a review, no matter how much you want to say about the book. Even if you've just finished reading it, you feel so disconnected. That's what I've felt the past few days... and it sucks. I didn't know how to write my reviews, so I decided to pick up book after book until my pending reviews had piled up... and now, I'm f*cked.
One Week of Fame!

On the first Friday of March, I got picked as Alison Can Read and Parajunkee's featured blogger! And it was so much fun because I'd gained more followers, readers and new friends, and even got to share photos of our cute pets since that was the topic for the day. Here's the link to the post if you would like to see pictures of my cute babies.
Reviews in the Past Month
Bringing Home The Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon
Ask Me Nicely by Amy Andrews
What Lies Between by Charlena Miller
My Life As A White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland (Audiobook)
Rock Hard (Rock Kiss #2) by Nalini Singh
Quarterback Draw (Play by Play #9) by Jaci Burton
One Real Man (Real Men #3) by Coleen Kwan
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
I'll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios
Well, this is pretty much a record breaker for me. I've got at least more than 6 reviews posted! Now, if only that review slump didn't happen, I would have gotten more posts up on the blog. Hopefully, I get more productive next month! Hope nobody gets terribly pranked today!
Happy April Fools' Day! (Or not)
Love,

We all have those months that aren't as great as others but the important this is that we are still reading and enjoying books, however many that may be. ;)
ReplyDeleteAgreed! So far all the books I read were really enjoyable and didn't have to DNF any! Thanks for stopping by! :)
DeleteYou STILL managed to be more productive than me, so I wouldn't worry about it! I definitely need to get my ass in gear this month! haha
ReplyDeleteSo do I! I gotta get more stuff done this month. We can so do this! ;D
DeleteOh I know what you mean. I, too, ran out of gas towards the middle of the month. Though that may have something to do with me being on vacation for the last two weeks of the month. Ahhhh summer in the Philippines. I so do not miss the heat! Lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great April, Blessie!
Right? The heat is craaaaazy. Glad you're back blogging! Hope you enjoyed your vacay, Joy! Thanks for stopping by! :D
DeleteIt looks like you had a pretty good month considering the review slump. I've been in those before-matter of fact, I'm in one now. Congratulations on being featured! Also, congrats on all the posts.

I've ended up not writing a review for some books already because of this review slump. Anyway, thanks Krystianna! :D
DeleteYou definitely got more reading done than I did. March was terrible for me.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have to read I'll Meet You There. I can't believe that I haven't yet. :0
